This is a one-day taster course about food-related health and wellbeing. 

You will learn about: 

  • What are food allergens and dietary requirements?
  • What is the difference between food allergens and dietary requirements?
  • How to identify allergens or dietary requirements on menu’s and food packaging
  • How to prepare a simple Vegan dish (practical session)

This course will help to improve your life skills and knowledge and will have a positive impact on the wider community because of the skills and knowledge you can use at home and share with others.

At the end of the course you will:

  • Understand what food allergens/dietary requirements are.
  • Understand the difference between food allergies and dietary requirements.
  • Be able to recognise allergens on menus, food labels and identify them in your food

There will also be a practical demonstration and we will give you some great recipes to take away with you!
