Sometimes we can feel that its just all too much and when we do, our stress levels increase and we experience a range of unpleasant symptoms. This affects our overall wellbeing and in extreme circumstances can be dangerous. Stress affects everyone in different ways and has been dubbed the ‘silent killer’. However, it does not have to be this way. This course will help you to explore the nature of stress and identify how best to respond in order to reduce the negative effects. You will cover: Definitions and types of stress The signs, symptoms, causes and effects of stress Coping strategies to find balance Relaxation techniques to restore mental, emotional and physical harmony Personal action planning to manage stress effectively Entry requirements You must be working at an Entry Level 3 or above in literacy.
