There's no doubt that key workers have played a fundamental role in allowing the country to keep ticking until life can go back to normal. From NHS workers, to store assistants, their sacrifices have saved countless lives and are heroes in the eyes of many. We received a lovely message from Fircroft alumni and keyworker Julia Elizabeth Swift who explained the positive impact studying at Fircroft had on her personal development leading to her securing a managers position in the future. Julia studied a variety of short courses with us before the college closed and is optimistic to continue studying with us in the future.

Julia's message

"Hello, Fircroft ... I'm missing you so much and hoping to be back soon ... Just an update for you ... I've been working non-stop through the Pandemic at our store we nose-dived from 26 staff down to 5 but we plodded on...well this week I was offered a full-time position and once our clothing manager is officially on maternity leave I'm expected to be offered the position ... Wow, me a manager !!!! I'm super excited and wanted to share my news with you as if it wasn't for you and the personal courses I took especially the assertiveness course Id never have been in this position .. I owe a lot to you and I'm absolutely loving life and loving my job ... Onwards and upwards !!!! Love to you all ..hopefully, will be able to rebook for the leadership course once all this is over . xxxxx"

We'd like to thank Julia for all of her hard work and wish her all the success in the future.
