Carl had always wanted to work in law and came to Fircroft in 2019 to study the Access to Higher Education (Social Science and Humanities) Diploma.  After successfully completing his studies he went on to study law at the University of Worcester and has never looked back.  Carl believes Fircroft made him even more determined to study law and he has now started his Legal Practice course at the University of Law.

Carl says “I owe my recent success to Fircroft.  The Access Diploma course has enabled me to gain the qualifications and skills needed to pursue a career in law.  The staff were very helpful and always on hand to give advice”.

The Residential Experience

Being residential for 9 months on his Access to Higher Education course was a real bonus for Carl.  Having staff and other students available outside class time helped him to discuss the lessons further with people as well as no travelling time to college was needed.  Carl says “being residential enabled me to solely focus on my studies without worrying about having to travel far to the classroom, as public transport can be problematic”.

We wish Carl the very best of luck with his new course and we are sure he has a bright future ahead of him!
