Fircroft College secured additional funding to continue delivering the award winning Talk English Programme in Birmingham from April 2019 to March 2020.

Funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), Talk English was a volunteer-led project that offers free English, for Speakers of other languages (ESOL) at Beginner level (Pre Entry/Entry 1) for people with little to no levels of English within the local area.

From September 2017 to April 2019 we delivered a number of courses and activities around Birmingham, with over 50 volunteers trained on our free teacher training programme to deliver ESOL and 440 learners engaged! See our Impact snapshot from 2017 -2019 here
